Creating Success Using Visualization Techniques

Posted on 29 April 2010 by Julie Barnes

I recently watched this video on CNN where Cynthia Stafford used visualization techniques to win a $112 million dollar Loto Jackpot.

The book The Secret brought awareness to the Law of Attraction and visualization techniques. Having read the book and watched the movie, the law of attraction simply means that we attract into our lives anything that we focus our attention to, regardless if it’s good or bad. One way to use the law of attraction techniques is to create vision board’s using pictures and written goals. How does it work? According to psychologist, visualization programs the reticular activating system to tune into external stimuli that can help us move closer towards our intentions. This got me to thinking, how are entrepreneurs using the Law of Attraction techniques in their businesses. To find out, I sat out to interview some entrepreneurs to find out what Law of Attraction tools they use in their businesses.

Kristin Boekhoff, owner of Panigram Resort, a luxury eco resort in southern Bangladesh www.panigram.com said, “I use vision boards for both my personal life and for my company. In fact, the vision board (or vision book in the case of my company) has been extremely useful in attracting investors. I created a collage of pictures – some from magazines and some from photos that I have taken – and assembled them into different pages that represent the various aspects of my resort. Not only does the vision board help me focus my vision, but it also allows others to see and share in it as well.” If you would like to look at Kristin’s vision book visit www.panigram.com/downloads/Vision_Book_Small.pdf

Sandy Forster, International speaker, Millionaire Mindset Mentor, Bestselling Author, and Award-Winning Business Owner of Wildly Wealthy www.wildlywealthy.com said, I have successfully used visualizations and vision boards for years. They have been a huge part in enabling me to go from welfare to millionaire.” Take a look at just one example of how pictures allowed Sandy to attract her ideal home into her life www.wildlywealthy.com/index.php?page=344.

Bernadette Boas, a Business Prosperity Coach and Consultant and owner of The Boas Group www.theboasgroup.com said,”I absolutely use visualization to help me reach my goals. Like affirmations, positive thinking, and the law of attraction, having a very clear image in your mind and putting yourself in the images of your goals and dreams help you to internalize and have belief in them. And once you have belief you can accomplish anything. Now, the belief part sounds easy, “sure, I believe I can”, but it is where I as well as my clients fall short. We have doubts that work to sabotage us if we allow them to. Visualizing what you want and will have is a key factor in then having the energy, focus, and ability to accomplish them. Visual boards are also a fabulous source for first helping someone get out of their head and down on paper (or whiteboard as I do) what they want to attain in their life. It makes it more real and not so fluffy.”

What are your dreams and goals? Use them to create a vision board today to manifest your goals for tomorrow.
