Exhibitors, Buyers, Retailers, Distributors, Bloggers, and Press are all getting a piece of the action at CES 2010.
If have a business selling technology products, CES is the place to be. Mary Semcken, Vice President of Marketing at Able Planet explains, “We grew up at CES. You learn the value of your product and by meeting the big retailers.” Able Planet released two new products this year at CES and received four awards bringing their award total to 22 awards in only five years.
The Las Vegas Convention Center is filled with business hoping to meet many future buyers and distributors. The potential for business is out of this world. People were waiting in long lines to get badges for the exciting experience.
Even CEO’s and company founders are making an appearance at CES. Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com spoke for an hour at American Express’s OPEN Forum booth, which followed by a Q&A. Guy Kawasaki also spoke Thursday, January 7th. Ben Parr and Barbara Dybwad from Mashable will be speaking today, January 8th. Ryan Block, Co-Founder of gdgt.com, was spotted walking around. This list goes on.
CES in summary:
- Average Joe’s have the chance to prepare for the most innovative technology.
- Exhibitors from all over the World, including China, Taiwan, and Israel hoping to network, grow their market, and sell their product or service.
- Distributors from the biggest retailers looking for products that are going to make them big bucks.
- The Press going crazy with live coverage, interviews, and product reviews.
- One absolutely amazing experience.
If you did not make it to CES 2010 this year, make sure to be there for 2011. It is one of the best networking opportunities of the year.
